Rue d’Itzig is one of 2 main traffic axes in Sandweiler, whether as a pedestrian, cyclist or by car, be it in the direction of football/tennis/scouts/squash as well as to school, the pharmacy or various businesses from the HoReCa sector. As early as February 2023, all citizens were invited to an information meeting via flyers sent to all letterboxes, where the redesign was presented and generated a lot of positive feedback, especially from the residents of the rue d’Itzig.
On Thursday 19 October 2023, the new Board of Aldermen will present various changes to the original plans.
We, the CSV Sandweiler, are disappointed that these changes, in contrast to the original plans, will not be presented publicly to all citizens, but only the residents of the rue d’Itzig have been invited.
